Valleyview School

Valleyview School became the first dual-track English/French school in Kenora and the Kenora-Rainy River District. The French immersion program increased enrolment and the growing school population started to change the dynamic of the school. The school was looking for some refocus on its identity in which staff and teachers could relate to and families attending the school could be inspired by.

Challenge

Valleyview School became the first dual-track English/French school in Kenora and the Kenora-Rainy River District. The French immersion program increased enrollment and the growing school population started to change the dynamic of the school. The school was looking for some refocus on its identity in which staff and teachers could relate to and families attending the school could be inspired by.

Insight

Working with each staff member, in facilitated small group discussions, Wake extracted what makes Valleyview School unique and special and built a new story for the school to use as their brand persona.

Result

Wake established a set of brand statements which are now decaled on the interior walls of the school entrance. We also designed a new school logo, or insignia, representing the dual track language program, and an iconic logo to represent the school nickname.
